Expanding upon the ideas explored with Evil Summer, the new EP uses diverse musical styles and foreign influences to create a more mystical, enchanting & rhythmic result. ‘Alla Marcia (Late at Night)’ utilises disco samples and a marching hip hop beat to underscore a middle eastern inspired melody while ‘For Over The Seas’ somehow manages to combine minimal techno and lo fi casio pop to create a driving, mysterious eight and a half minute freak out. The first half of the EP closes with the r&b inspired ‘Next Steps’ before Rites Wild’s melancholic, marching interpretation of Evil Summer track ‘Deep Ocean Sands’ takes us to re-interpretations of material by the likes of Eleventeen Eston & MmHmMm.

Avoiding the EP as a minor release, Harghada Dreams works as a new manifesto for Andrew Sinclair. Stating a desire to explore as much musical ground as possible, the EP makes it clear that he won’t be running out of ideas anytime soon.
